Web 2.0, library 2.0

Web 2.0 is about utilising the social networking sights and the systems available in our electronic age. Examples of these are blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, wikis and flickr.  Library 2.0 is about libraries retaining their current users while making themselves relevant for and drawing in new users. This is where web 2.0 comes into the picture.
Libraries need to be relevant to everybody to stay current and modern so that they do not become dinosaurs. Many people are using the social networking sites to find out what is going on in the world, to find out information and to keep in touch.
Libraries need to be update with these facilities and utilise them to the fullest so that they can as I have said to stay relevant as people will no longer utilise the facilities available in and at libraries
